The second freak weather occurrence I've been caught up in this year after Wellington's snow, Nelson's floods and severely heavy rain over the last few days. Pretty ridiculous. It's pretty much rained since Monday night, it was raining in the night, rained all of Tuesday and then Wednesday all day, really heavily which got the landslides and flooding happening really badly. Water mains had overflowed, river banks had bursted and everything was just saturated. I had the worst headache from the sound of the rain, constantly, for like 3 days - it's finally subsided this evening and am fortunate our house, which is on a fairly precarious hill one would've thought, has been alright. Bring out the sunshine ASAP and dry everything out!
